CAMP 1 REMINDERS

1)      Check your mode of transportation! Since most of us depend on others to get places, a courtesy call to check on your time and meeting place would be a good thing to do.

2)      If you are flying in, check your tickets for arrival times to either O’Hare or Milwaukee. Remember that the bus pick-ups at the airports are (Chicago O’Hare 6PM CST, and Milwaukee 7:15 PM). If there are any problems, be sure to call Roman on his cell-phone: 414-333-2235. If you get voice mail, please call again and again, until you reach him!

3)      Camp Fee for New People = $60.00 for the first camp and only $30 for each additional camp.

4)      Camp Fee for those who Auditioned in Garrett or Ypsilanti = $30.00

5)      Camp Fee for returning Vets = $30.00

PUSH

Be sure to double check with your prospects that you are bring to camp via telephone.  Bringing or coming along with them is the best way, and increases the prospect that they will come! The corps gets a notch closer to DCI Semifinals and you get a $100 recruitment award for each person that you get to join! It is a win-win situation for everyone. It also reflects your pride in and commitment to your Pioneer Corps.

COOKS / SERVERS /HELPERS!

Parents and friends of Pioneer, we need your help and willing hands for this weekend’s camp! If you can assist our head cook in any way, please see her, Marie Limpel, when you arrive at camp. Thank you!

CAMP SITE

The camp is being held at CUDAHY MIDDLE SCHOOL  at  5530 S. Barland Ave. 53110. It is NOT at the high school as was previously announced. The middle school is only 8 blocks east of Pioneerland and is located at the top of the hill on Barland.

JANUARY CAMP DATE AND SITE!

TheCudahy schools have bumped us from our original January 15-17 Martin Luther King weekend for camp. They all have activities in their buildings that weekend. But the GOOD NEWS is that we will have the January camp at CUDAHY HIGH SCHOOL on JANUARY 22-24!     Please spread the word, and we’re sorry if this causes any inconveniences.

NEW PIONEER MEMBERS’ ACCOUNTANT

We would all like to welcome Mrs. Donna Haelman (Eric, the bus driver’s wife) who will be serving you as the person who will collect and keep track of your dues and financial obligations for the 2010 Season.  Please make her feel welcome and show your Pioneer “Class” by introducing yourself to her.

SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICE

For the past 48 years, the Pioneer Corps has taken an hour from their Sunday mornings to attend church as a group whenever possible.   This tradition demonstrates “Class” in your organization. Pioneer members demonstrate their “Class” by dressing appropriately  and looking the right way at the right time.  Make sure that you do so.

PARENT/BOOSTER MEETING

This will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Camp in the school’s library. We will discuss all aspects of the Pioneer Corps, plus look forward to open discussions of new ideas and suggestions.

GREEN ORNAMENTS!

The corps’ Christmas Tree which will be displayed at camp needs the addition of your creativity in designing and bring an ornament.  Perhaps you will win a prize for the most beautiful or innovative ornament!

COOKIE DONATION!

Show off your mom’s or your baking talents and bring a donation of some cookies to camp, or bring some excess cookies!  Again, this being the Christmas edition of camp, let your creativity go wild in designing and baking your cookies!

PIONEER PRIDE

Wear your corps shirts to camp!

BETTER EVERY DAY!
