Currently residing in Florida, Ja'Malh Wallace returns to Pioneer for a third season. Jamalh has been a performer and artist for over 16 years, his background includes theater, voice, dance, improvisation, and the marching arts. As a marching arts entertainer, he performed with Onyx in 2008 and then returned to the group for their 2012-2016 seasons.

As marching arts instructor and choreographer, Ja'Malh has worked with McNeal High School Color Guard (TX), Fairborn High School marching band and color guard (OH), 02 Color Guard (OH), Hillard-Davidson (OH), and Carroll High School (OH) to name a few.

Scott Bennett is returning for his second year with Pioneer on the guard staff. Scott is excited for this opportunity and can't wait to see how PIO performs. Scott resides in Charleston, Illinois with his wife Amanda and son Jaxson. He is originally from Swartz Creek, Michigan and has been instructing color guards / winterguard for the past 17 years. He has had the pleasure of working with Swartz Creek HS ( MI ), Grand Blanc HS ( MI ), John Glenn HS ( MI ), Woodhaven HS ( MI ) Terre Haute North HS ( IN ), Paris HS ( IL ) and many more. He is the founder of Odyssey Winterguard from Swartz Creek High School. Scott's marching experience includes Eclipse Winterguard and Cincinnati Tradition Drum and Bugle Corps. Scott is grateful to his mentor ( Joe Leroux ) in his early years of instructing for all his wisdom. Scott's motto he's lived by when instructing, " Its not the place that matters, It's the time and effort you put into your score. "

Kelsey is excited to start her second year on guard staff at The Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps. Kelsey started her journey with The Pioneer Color Guard in 2011, she was chosen to be the Guard Sergeant in 2013, and continued in that leadership role until her age out in the summer of 2015.

Her marching experience also includes two independent groups ; Independence Winter Guard (IL) (IA) in 2013 and NEXUS Indoor Percussion (IL) (IPA) 2014-2015.

Her teaching experiences includes; Providence Catholic High School (IL) and their SRA program, Minooka Community High School JV (SRA), and their Varsity team (SA). This season she will again be working with Minooka HS Winter Guard Programs.
